A while ago, I had the crazy idea to write a book about the boom in British horror films since the beginning of the millennium. After a couple of years, though, and after watching way too many films that were essentially exactly the same, I came to a difficult conclusion. There are too many of the damned things. Way over 2,000 made between 2000 and 2020, with no sign of a drop in numbers as we’ve progressed into the third decade of the century. I started getting lost in deciding how to organise everything into logical chapters, trying to tell a story while at the same time being exhausting, and without ending up being thousands of pages long. As a result, the idea for the book has been shelved… for now, at any rate, and instead I’m posting my reviews here, on this website. Enjoy!
